Critical Information
- This is a test and repair service of the customers own unit.
- The customer must send ECM, key and CAS (immobiliser) for testing / repairs
- The Engine ECM is mounted in a sealed ECM-Box (plastic Box) near the firewall, below the windscreen on the passenger side of the engine bay.
- The CAS is located next to the steering column
- These units are often water damaged and unrepairable.
- Injectronics can supply replacement units and program to suit your vehicle and CAS (immobiliser) providing you send the original ECM, key and CAS (immobiliser).
- This unit requires specific programming by Injectronics
- Exchange units are not user programmable
- Upon refitting your repaired or Exchange Engine Module (ECM) it is imperative that you rectify the reason for the water ingress.
- When there is a build-up of leaves and foreign matter at the bottom of the windscreen on the passenger side ,the drain will become blocked.
- When the vehicle is washed, or it rains, water will then run down the windscreen and overflow into the ECM-Box. Eventually the Engine ECM will fail.
- This Drain must be completely cleared and tested for operation.
- The ECM-box (E-BOX) drain also needs to be checked for blockage.
