Test, Inspection & Diagnostic Assessment Policy
How Do We Diagnose Your Faults?
At Injectronics, we employ a comprehensive suite of advanced diagnostic tools to accurately identify faults in your components. Upon request, our technicians can conduct an in-depth fault-finding investigation tailored to your specific concerns.
Using real-world simulation techniques — including heat soak, continuous vibration, and extreme cold start conditions — we are able to replicate and confirm both permanent and intermittent faults. Our proprietary VAS software, along with manual benchtop Cathode Ray Oscilloscope (CRO) observation, enables us to monitor critical signals such as injection, ignition, and duty cycle controls in real time. This allows us to pinpoint failures with precision and provide clear, actionable insights.
In most cases, components are disassembled for detailed visual inspection of the PCB and internal elements. This process helps uncover underlying issues such as aging capacitors, dry solder joints, weakened connections, and signs of contamination or corrosion — often the root cause of elusive intermittent faults.
Diagnostic Charges
If a diagnostic investigation is requested and no fault is found (and no repair is carried out), a diagnostic cover charge of $395.00+ will apply.
Similarly, if a fault is identified and a repair is offered but not approved, the same diagnostic charge will be applicable.
Will all my problems be fixed?
If your fault is listed above as a common and repairable issue, Injectronics guarantees the repair for 12 months with unlimited kilometres.
Should the same fault reoccur within this period, simply return the relevant component with a detailed report of the fault to our lab. We’ll prioritise your assessment, and if the fault is confirmed, we’ll repair it again at no cost, including return freight to your workshop.
If the fault cannot be repaired again, we will offer a replacement or refund, at our discretion.
NOTE:
You should be confident in your diagnosis. Double-check, and eliminate other possible causes of these common faults before sending a component to us.
Why?
If a part is sent to us in good working condition and we are unable to reproduce any fault after a thorough diagnostic assessment, a diagnostic cover charge of $395.00+GST will apply to cover the time and resources dedicated to testing.
However, if you choose to proceed with remanufacturing the part regardless — for example, as part of a preventative maintenance strategy — this diagnostic fee will be waived.
